Chuck has over 40 years of experience as a health and welfare actuary and a consultant to leading business organizations, insurance companies and the U.S. Government. His expertise spans all aspects of employee welfare benefits from actuarial risk evaluation, reserve/liability certifications, innovative health care cost management, design, administration and financing strategies to mergers and acquisitions, managing retiree medical liabilities and overall health & welfare financial cost and risk management.
Chuck brings 30 years of consulting experience. He founded Sarkisian & Associates, LLC after retiring as a principal from Towers Perrin in July of 2006. He consulted with major clients in all industries including utilities, technology, healthcare, entertainment, manufacturing, service and retail. Chuck was with The New England as an actuarial officer in charge of Group Underwriting. In addition, Chuck worked at various branches of the U.S. Government, including the Social Security Administration where he provided actuarial cost projections for Medicare and proposed congressional legislation. He also served on the National Health Insurance Actuarial Taskforce. While at the Office of Personal Management, Chuck was responsible for providing actuarial oversight to the Federal Employee Health and Life Insurance Programs including premium setting and reserve evaluation of over 250 health insurance plans.
Chuck is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (A.S.A.) and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (M.A.A.A.). He has also taught courses in human resource management and health care administration.
Jeff has over 20 years of experience as a consultant and finance professional with Sarkisian & Associates, LLC, M&T Bank Corporation, and Deloitte Consulting, LLP. His experience spans from employee health and welfare benefits, health care cost management, financial and actuarial analysis, plan design and administration to corporate finance, capital and risk management, mergers and acquisitions, and management consulting. He has consulted with clients in industries including banking, technology, healthcare, manufacturing, consumer products, telecom and utilities.
Jeff is a licensed life, health, and disability insurance agent. He is also a NAHU certified health care reform professional. He holds a Masters in Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Science in Management from The Pennsylvania State University, graduating with high distinction and was Marshal for the Business School at graduation.
